For all applications make a tea (1 teaspoon / cup).Use hot, not boiling water. Phyllanthus urinaria should not be steeped more than one (1) minute, or it may become too bitter. Urinary Tract Infection (UTI)These infections are most common in women; but men can get them also. There are many causes of Urinary Tract Infection but the most common are being exposure to staphylococcus or streptococcus bacteria. Antibiotics are often prescribed to treat this infection but overusing often has a negative effect. The symptoms of UTI's may include one or more of the following: increased urinary frequency or urgency, burning or discomfort with urination (dysuria), cloudy urine, foul or strong urine odor, blood in the urine, fever, chills, abdominal pain and uterine tenderness.
